ACE is a FREE after-school program open to any high school student with the curiosity and drive to learn about the various career paths in the design and construction industry. Thousands of students have enjoyed the exciting projects, informative field trips and other hands-on activities that make up the unique ACE experience.

Earn College Credit

Students that successfully complete the program can earn three college credits to be used at Michigan colleges and universities.*
*Only three college credits are available even if attending the program for multiple years.

  • Students discover careers in architecture, engineering, and construction while receiving guidance from industry professionals.

  • Real-world projects help students apply what they will learn in school and understand the industry in action.

  • Participants build connections with mentors, peers and industry professionals—opening doors to future careers. Connect to opportunities for paid summer internships with meaningful experiences at partner companies.

  • Visits to offices and construction sites provide insight into daily operations and professional environments.

  • The program offers scholarships that are available only for our affiliates’ students, so students are not competing for state- or nationwide for scholarship dollars. The program also provides advice on college or trades programs, helping students plan for post-secondary education.

  • Through presentations and project work, students build confidence and leave the program prepared for life after high school.
